We're in your corner, Mr. President, but........

we need to talk. Now, most republicans consider themselves to be Americans first, and they genuinely want this president to succeed in his effort to help the engine of free market capitalism drive our economic recovery. After all, its in everyone's best interest, regardless of party affiliation, that this be achieved. But not surprisingly, republicans hold diverse opinions about how a president's "success" should be measured. Denying Mr. Obama the achievement of a few of his many ambitious goals will not constitute a failure of his presidency. Not even close. On the contrary, not achieving a few of his goals, may in fact, contribute to its ultimate success. What's more, I think we're already witnessing this dynamic play itself out. And its only been three weeks since the inauguration. No doubt it'll be an interesting and eventful four years.
